Shane Lauderdale is a recognized leader in fire and emergency management, bringing over 39 years of experience in operations, community risk reduction, and disaster response. He has served in executive roles, including Fire Chief and Deputy Chief, guiding communities through emergency response, planning, code adoption, and wildfire mitigation initiatives. Shane has led large-scale disaster responses across California as an Operations Section Chief on a Type 1 Incident Management Team, playing key roles in high-profile incidents, including the Thomas, Camp, Kincade, Butte Complex fires, and the Oroville spillway failure.
Shane holds a B.S. in Fire Prevention Technology and an A.S. in Fire Technology. He is a NFPA-certified Fire Protection Specialist and an IAAI-certified Fire Investigator, holding multiple certifications in fire operations, prevention, and incident command. In addition, he serves on the Advanced All-Hazard Incident Management (AAIM) cadre, providing national training and evaluation for disaster response teams.
