To our team at Ladris:
We hope everyone had a safe and peaceful Labor Day. This month we remember those whose lives were lost on 9/11 and the courage of our first responders.
Last month we stated that August would be a big month, and it was. We have launched our own fire modeling service, a significant step forward that reduces reliance on external partners and brings another best-in-class product to the world. We delivered a new evacuation zone product and revamped our flood modeling interface. We launched FuelsRx and broke ground on Sentry, First Officer and Sentinel Prime. And, we delivered key enhancements to Evac, our flagship.
There is an old saying that you can choose to optimize speed, quality, or cost, but not all of them at once. Ladris is intentionally maximizing speed. We choose to do this because speed is our greatest asset and management’s most natural talent. To quote MacArthur’s famous line, “You are remembered for the rules you break.” There is a time and a place for breaking the rules. This moment is that time. We make tradeoffs, and we live with them.
Our speed and aggression has put the market on notice. Last month Ladris was featured in Bessemer’s Market Map for Public Safety AI, alongside much larger firms including Flock and Peregrine. Remarkably, Ladris has raised only a fraction of the capital of these companies, and yet we are rightly perceived as going toe to toe with them. We believe this speaks to the caliber of our team and our execution. Looking to our own customer base, our pipeline has grown considerably. Customers call us each week to ask about the next offering on the horizon.
At the end of the day, this degree of speed and execution is possible only because of the caliber of individuals on this team. We believe in each of you. We believe in our dream of becoming the de facto standard for dealing with natural disasters. We know we can achieve this, and we will.
